Do I still need Adobe Acrobat?

Now that Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge and Apple Safari can automatically view and create PDF files, most people don't want the extra burden of the full Adobe Acrobat software installed on their computers.
Some Chrome users need more features and find the Adobe Acrobat Chrome Extension handy.

Some do prefer using the Adobe Acrobat Reader DC program to open and view PDF files, while others buy a subscription for the full Adobe Acrobat DC Pro software program to edit PDFs.

Important: If you install either of these, make sure you don't accidentally install the "optional" junk software, like McAfee Security

There are some less expensive alternatives available.
